EVE SHIELDS

A warning you wear.

We build hand protection that senses. OHMA is a work glove with three non-contact sensors in the fingers that warn you by light and by sound when a live AC conductor is close, before you make contact.

A supplementary warning device. Not a replacement for rated testing instruments or isolation procedure.

Who we are

Protective equipment that tells you something

Most protective gloves are passive. They insulate, they resist abrasion, they take the heat, and they tell the person wearing them nothing at all about the environment their hands are moving into.

Eve Shields builds hand protection that senses. Our work sits at the point where personal protective equipment meets electronics: flexible sensing built into the glove itself, thin enough that the wearer forgets it is there, deliberate enough that they notice the moment it speaks.

We design for people who already know what they are doing. Our products are built to sit alongside established electrical safety practice, adding a layer of awareness rather than replacing a step.

OUR PRODUCTS

What we make

Sensing built into protective equipment, not attached to it.

WHY CHOOSE US

Why Eve Shields

Built into the equipment, not attached to it

The electronics sit between the layers. There is nothing clipped to a cuff, nothing to catch, nothing to remember to bring.

Designed around the hand

Sensing paths are routed to follow how a hand actually moves. Our equipment grips, closes and flexes as it should.

Honest about its limits

We state what our equipment does not do as clearly as what it does. A warning device that oversells itself is a hazard in its own right.

Made to be specified

Full technical documentation, defined test conditions and stated performance limits, prepared for the people who approve equipment before it reaches a site.

Who our equipment is for

We design first for people who work near energised equipment as a matter of routine: electrical contractors, maintenance and facilities teams, utility and distribution crews, plant and manufacturing engineers, rail and infrastructure maintenance, and the training organisations that prepare them.

For these users our equipment is issued as part of a kit, alongside rated testers and insulating equipment, and it answers to procurement, to safety officers and to the standards they work under.

Working on your own

Independent electricians, small contractors and experienced home renovators buy from us for the same reason: a second signal, worn rather than carried, in the moments when your hands are ahead of your eyes. The same rules apply. Test before you touch, and treat a warning device as a warning rather than an all-clear.

How we work with buyers

Most of our conversations start with a specification rather than an order. Tell us the environment, the hand sizes, the quantities and the standards you work to, and we will tell you plainly whether our equipment suits the application and where its limits sit.

Evaluation units are available for assessment before a commitment. For larger programmes we will work through your approval process with you, and we will provide the technical documentation your safety team needs in order to make a decision rather than a marketing summary of it.

Where our equipment is not the right answer for a given task, we will say so.

Talk to us

Tell us about the application and the quantities, and we will come back with pricing, availability and the technical detail your team needs.
